Sara and Austin are some of the sweetest and nicest people you will every meet. Meeting Sara for the first time, we just couldn’t wait for her Lake House at the Windmill Winery wedding. We knew instantly that we were going to have an amazing time. Taking the time to really know our clients and hearing about their lives is one of our favorite parts about being wedding photographers. Our clients are our friends and have become like family. We love hearing how you two met, how the proposal went down and every little detail of your wedding. Being in the business of love is what we do! We always ask our couples to tell us their love story. Here is Sara and Austin’s.

Sara and Austin met when they were both working at Old Navy in 2011. They were both assigned to work in the fitting room and kicked it off right away. For Austin, it was love at first sight. Sara felt the same way, but only had three weeks left living in Arizona. Sara was set to take off to Iowa to start college. When Austin asked Sara out, she politely turned him down since she was planning for her move across country. Sara told her mom that a boy had asked her out and she encouraged her to go out on the date. Her exact words were, “Just go out with him! You don’t have to marry him or anything!”

Sara and Austin went out on their first date to Sun Splash (a waterpark) that weekend. They both had a blast and got matching sunburns. It was during their first date that Sara saw something special in Austin. Through the next three weeks, they were inseparable. When it was time for Sara to leave for Iowa, they discussed what they should do. Both Sara and Austin agreed that they liked each other and that they would attempt the long distance relationship.

Although the first year of their relationship was long and difficult, the distance caused them to realize how much they wanted to be together. Sara decided to come back to Arizona and transfer schools. A few years later, Sara and Austin moved to Flagstaff to study at Northern Arizona University. Sara still believes that moving back from Iowa was the best decision she ever made. They are ecstatic to be getting married five years later!
